Was finally able to sit down and look at the external hard drive to see why it wasn't recognizing on my computer. So I brought into the office and hooked it up to the parents' computer, and it works great. So I bring the laptop in, turn it on, hook up the drive to that---and BAM, the stupid thing wants to work for me again. Well la-dee-frickin'
