Oh, lovely colour that blazer has!

They don't come with extra buttons? My blouses and women's jackets have always come with at least one extra of each button type they used, either sewn to the care instructions label or in a tiny plastic baggy inside one of the pockets. Um, and are you sure those are fake pockets? My decidedly female wool jacket came with them sewn shut but after opening them, they were perfectly functional. It's a tradition here in Germany, supposedly to keep the pockets from being overused and bulging prior to purchase.

Aha! Upon closer examination I did find two extra buttons sewn into an innocuous part of the lining :) thanks for prompting me to take a second look! Unfortunately, I am pretty sure the pockets are fake, although the lining of the jacket prevents me from knowing for sure. I'm a little worried about pulling the stitching out in case there's nothing there! But I have had clothes in the past where the pockets were just sewn shut.

That's really interesting that it's so they don't get bulgy from overuse! I had always wondered why the manufacturers did that...

Yay, buttons! It'd be such a hassle to have to replace them all in the event of losing one...

Hm, if the pocket's only sewn shut for protection, the seam is usually really "sloppy", that is: widely spaced stitches so easier to pull out. Argh, if the pockets are not real, why tease us women like that?!

Nope, they are tighter than ZQ's jeans :p I guess it's for 'slimming' purposes... or maybe they just expect women to always carry a purse? *chortle* Noo waay XD
