What the heck? I'm either a sane person living in a crazy, crazy world, or I'm the nutcase living in a sane world. While I knew my new job would present challenges, I had no idea. I'm finding that after a day with my charges, I'm ready for the "Voluntary Time Out" (VTO) room. Just strap on the white jacket and give me some peace ( Read more... )

Well, I sincerely doubt that the world is sane...

Learning to be by yourself is going to be hard considering the chaos that you've surrounded yourself with most of your life. Time to revisit some of those level 2 lessons about loving and accepting yourself.

And there's always that book you're working on... :-)

Go walk the mall, hit Starbucks, kidnap one or more friends and catch a movie, go to more cons, find a Tuesday night book club, take a class on Tuesday nights.

Give it time, you'll adapt M'Lady.

I know I'll adapt. It is in my nature to adapt. Unfortunatly most of my friends are married with children. They don't want to just catch a movie. I'll figure it out though. Actually I've spent most of my life alone, one way or another. It is only over the past year that I've become aware of a whole different kind of being.
