schizophrenic mouth harp

Alright. Writing has been difficult lately due to a number of factors, none the least of which is that my computer is little more than a dust magnet for the time being, a monolithic dust bunny incubator, until I get those fans whirring again. Also, if I do write, there's this little poison called 'negativity' which is currently lacing the tips of ( Read more... )

So are you watching the classic Doctor Who or are you still watching the new series?

Both. I'll rewatch episodes of the new with crow, and then watch some Tom Baker episodes right after.

Ah! Which episodes are your favorites so far? A lot of the episodes haven't been released on DVD yet. I have pirated copies of most of them. You should check out episodes from the 3rd Doctor, Jon Pertwee. I like him almost as much as Tom Baker.

I haven't seen a ton of them yet - City of Death, Talons of..., Horror of Fang Rock. They're all pretty good but nowhere near the sheer majesty of Michael Bay's Armageddon.

the fact that next year brings the promise of changes and relief and hope doesn't help the fact that absolutely everything is going belly-up by the end of this year. it's happening everywhere, too -- half the stories we write now for the papers are about businesses closing. every small business in every small town, and every places that does manufacturing. this winter terrifies me. i also feel like i have nothing to show for the past few years and i don't really think i want to do anything else in this field in the future.

well if you want to open a store in small town new jersey, we could sure use some soap here! :)

Yeah, my entire town is a ghost town right now, and all businesses are hurting. Many favorites have closed, most of them here longer than we've been. I shouldn't take it personally, but it's a shame how tides can wash away the entire efforts of my 20's.

you do have the experience and knowledge now of how to do it; perhaps when things are better you'll be able to start fresh without any of the learning curves or bumps in the road you may have experienced the first time.

the entire industry that i've worked in appears to be disappearing and replaced with uninformed, inarticulate bloggers just writing whatever they want, online...well i did learn how to write a good, solid sentence so that's got to count for something!

The unlimited streaming from your Netflix account through the XBox 360 was a huge selling point for me.

I absolutely adore that feature of XBox Live.

Agreed. A week before they announced it I was fiddling with TVersity and like programs to rig Xbox into streaming Netflix through my computer onto my TV, even. Was beyond glad they made it much easier to do.

The only problem I have with it are the fluctuations with the video quality since I only get a good feed after 11pm. I wonder if it's on Netflix's end or mine - too many people streaming from their servers or my DSL's phone company being burdened.

That is one of the greatest things to come out of England... I am glad you have found it.. the humor is rye and timeless with just a taste of tongue in cheek..
