hm. Tonight I had the good sense to start reading a Young Adult Novel at around 10:30, and I finished it like two minutes ago because I'm somehow compelled to only read Young Adult Novels in uninterrupted chunks. And like, it was actually quite good, which is especially rare for that subset of Young Adult Novels, the Gay Coming-Of-Age Novel.

What YA novel was it? I always end up reading them in one burst too because they are so quickly paced that they seem to take no time at all to read.

And I don't think that's an appropriate way to wear a shirt!!

it was called The Vast Fields of Ordinary. I think that even though I know plenty of YA books are good, whenever I pick one up on a whim part of me expects it to suck, so I'm always pleasantly surprised when they actually have fleshy characters and suchlike.

I think you can't handle innovation! I'll never go back to the old way.
