A few episodes ago, Jacob said a man was coming to the island who shouldn't. Everyone assumed he meant Widmore, but what if he meant Desmond?

Desmond totally creeped me out last night.

You could be right. He is the connection between the island reality and the alternate reality.

And who's that little kid? My gut says that he's Jacob reborn or re-imagined by the island.

Re: the little kid. That was my reaction also (Jacob reborn--he looks surprisingly similar). I love how he, the boy, makes FauxLocke nervous(?), anxious(?) ... I'm not sure what word I'm looking for.

I agree. There's too much information (good and bad). By the time I get to the forum, there's 18+ pages of comments. Don't have time for that.

I think we're meant to assume the boy is young Jacob, but I'm not sure if I am ready to buy that yet.

Good thought on Desmond, though. Why did he creep you out? I found him ... compelling.

Is he a candidate? I think we're meant to assume it's one of the Oceanic 6...

He's not a candidate. He was emotionless while watching Libby and Hugo at the beach. My feeling was he should have been happy to see them connect. Instead it seemed like he checked them off a list in his head and moved on to the next item. I'm wondering if Widmore tried to keep Desmond away from Penny for a reason other than what everyone assumed ... he wasn't good enough for her. And his behavior on the island, he's not afraid. And the people who are not afraid are the ones to fear.
