Of course Plato wouldn't have liked Sweeney Todd. Part of his whole thing against the arts in general. Plus, I'm pretty sure we don't have access to the form of spurting blood. You know.
Well, the idea was more that I think Plato's main objection to music is that it can make people feel things they don't actually think or feel (religious music is a good example). Since a lot of the tension in Sweeney Todd (from my knowledge of the stage musical, don't know much about the movie) is generated between what the music's telling you and what's happening, it struck me as something that would bother Plato.
