YAY! IT'S BACK!

Good for Tosh, trying to maske the Doctor see sense! He may have rejected what she said, but he can't ignore it. And with the TARDIS making her opinion known to him very clearly, I think it's time the Doctor took a long, hard look at why he personally doesn't want to accept Jack and Ianto's immortality, despite the fact that the entire rest of the universe obviously has no problem with their existence. Could it be that he doesn't like not being the only long-lived being anymore? Is he threatened by knowing they'll still exist when he's long gone?

Glad you liked Tosh and the TARDIS having their say. You’re right that the Doctor may not like what they said but even he can’t ignore it forever - however much he continues to try !

You could be right that his aversion to accepting Jack and Ianto is that he doesn’t like the fact he’s no longer the only long lived being anymore and that they will outlive him. It could also be that he’s jealous that they have each other - even before Ianto’s immortality - where as he continues to not allow himself to get that close to anyone.

The Doctor certainly does need to get over himself, - though he does seem pretty stuck in his opinion at the moment, and the chances of him admitting he’s wrong aren’t looking too promising.

Yay! An update!

I loved this. The Doctor just doesn't want to admit he's wrong, and we all know how stubborn he can be. Even the TARDIS is against him in this! As for Toshiko's talk with him, that was brilliant. She's right, of course, but the Doctor can't see past the blinders he's wearing.

Glad you enjoyed it. Oh yes the Doctor is most definitely stubborn and blinkered in his view of Jack and Ianto. If he doesn’t sort himself out I can see the TARDIS giving him an even more bumpy ride than usual in the future !
