*sends virtual hug*

Oh man. Now I really need to finish the series, even though I've still got 3 and a half seasons to go and by the time I get there everyone else will have forgotten about it.

Going in completely spoiled for everything is going to make it a much less suspenseful ride for you. But enjoy!

You know that I always go into books/movies completely spoiled, right? I usually read the beginning of a book, then the end, then fill in the middle character-by-character. And I usually read the IMDB and Wikipedia pages before watching a movie, and specifically seek out reviews that say "*** contains spoilers***".

I try to avoid posting spoilers because I know a lot of my friends care a lot about that, but personally I've never understood it. To me, what happens in a story is completely irrelevant, and the only reason I read/watch is to find out how & why it happens.

When Torry started talking about the "dark secrets" I told my wife "Galen's gonna frakking snap her neck". And I was right. Good work, Chief, she had it coming.

There was also much discussion in my living room last night of Cavil's exit. A coward to the end. It was perfect.

Overall, I was very, very happy with the episode.

Tory getting hers was horrible in a "There goes the neighborhood" kind of way but still ultimately satisfying. What a ride.

I am still so angry, so really really pissed off. I am trying not to be Ranty McCornflakePisser so I'm not talking about it on LJ right now (and am failing at not talking about it on chat) but, man.

Totally understandable, and I've looked around LJ enough to see you're not alone. But hey, they don't make this show to avoid controversy, right? ;-)

At this point I'm not sure why they made this show. I feel like they took 4 years of solid television writing and then actively tried to destroy all of it in 30 minutes. I'm so disappointed, and angry, and dismayed, and a little embarrassed. :))

My disapproval, let me show you it.

I need one of those Kara shirts. I think out of all of them I was saddest to see her go, even though she's like an angel now or something (or always has been?), so that's not too bad an ending. Still, I miss Starbuck. D: And I kinda wanted her to get with Lee, even though they are cheating-cheaters, haha. I wonder if Lee will really go exploring.

I thought I would cry more in this episode, but the only time I really bawled was when Roslin died and Papadama was all sad. I knew it was coming, but woe anyway. :(

About the part with Tori and the Chief, I remember when she said that I thought she might probably want to switch sides or something so she's not standing right next to him, but for some reason I didn't expect him to actually kill her. At least not right way. Kinda glad though, because she irritated the shit out of me.

And um...I'll stop now before I make this comment too long. :D

My reading is that Kara Thrace died in S3 and what we've had since is a destiny in solid form. Oh, Starbuck. *clings*

Much as I would have enjoyed more Kara/Lee action, it would have been kind of odd 1) given that she's dead and 2) since a happy domestic ending would feel weird for them.

I am not a Tory fan, so that was satisfying. :-D

Long comments are okay with me!

And yes, it breaks my heart again that the end was what it was. However! If you go with my first theory of the ending - or hell, even the second - and all this will happen again but slightly better, then Kara exists again in our time, and maybe this time she met Lee first, or met Zak and had no interest in his brother, or became a professional athlete and met a guy there who had a crazy obsession with perfection instead. The beauty of the finale is the affirmation of second (third, fourth, etc.) chances.

Ah! I am totally stealing this fic idea. ;)
