I hear there are rampant BSG spoilers out in the wild and am terrified that I'll run across one undefended. It's going to be a treacherous week on LJ.

After the finale Friday, I'm going to be quite out of hour-long TV shows to shower with fannish energy. No more Stargate or BSG (for now). Pushing Daisies is long gone. Psych is on hiatus till ( Read more... )

Lemme know if you find anything. There seem to be a dearth of obsession-worthy things out there, even on the Internet. Couple years ago, people were practically manic - now, it looks like everyone's too worried about the economy to be obsessed with anything else.

There seem to be obsessions going on - SPN and Merlin show up all over my flist - but I'm not particularly interested. Oh well.

SPN = Supernatural?

I'm tempted to check 'em out, if only because I seem to get into just about every pop culture trend just as it's becoming no longer popular, which makes me rather boring to talk to when I'm not with computer people. :-) Though I'm not a huge TV person by nature, so I don't have particularly high hopes...

Try Kings. It's... interesting.

Interesting good or interesting potential trainwreck? The ads bothered me because they featured a passel of white men, with a few hints of women gazing adoringly at them. But that could be advertising fail.

It wasn't so much an advertising fail as not the 'whole story'... while the two women who are central to the plot certainly seem to be swept up in the 'testosterone tide' at this point, I'm not ready to call it a complete wash yet on the basis of a just-generally-good political statement regarding the uselessness of endless wars and some potential for some interesting father-son drama. Even though I swore I'd be done after the first episode if I wasn't 100% sure that I was engaged, I'm willing to give it another week. Ian McShane is just... awe-inspiring.

I'm know I'm late to the party, but CHUCK! It's seriously adorable. Plus, Adam Baldwin!

Meh to the Baldwin factor, but there does seem to be a lot of love on my flist, so I'll give it a shot.

I don't know why everyone is so down on Dollhouse. I think it's an interesting show.

It's nothing against Dollhouse itself, for me; I know from repeated trial and failure that Joss Whedon shows and I don't get along.
