Martha Marcy May Marlene made it to my 'hood this weekend. I've been excited to see it for months now, and I wasn't disappointed. It felt like this year's Winter's Bone: both are very intense films with strong performances by "breakout" leading young women, with John Hawkes providing flawless support. I haven't watched Merlin yet, but the reaction has led me to believe that it's going to make me want to vomit rainbows even more than the tiny dragon baby.

Which still makes me gleeful when I think of it because - come on! A TINY DRAGON BABY. 'A WHITE DRAGON BODES WELL FOR ALBION. FOR YOU. FOR ARTHUR. FOR THIS LAND YOU WILL BUILD TOGETHER.' And Merlin was so happy, he was CRYING.

Eh, I'm sure that guy will just name the wrong person as Emrys. They've done far too much plot progression lately to keep making progress. This is Merlin, after all. ;-)
