Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is ( Read more... )

1. Here's a NanoWriMo (or however you spell it) story that has to do with the supernatural... with some romance/mystery thrown in... very similar to Jim Butcher books if you've read them... apparently written by a 19 year old girl, so keep that in mind. One friend on my friends list posted about the series while it was being written and I have read it... liked it although naturally I'd change a few things, too... but it wasn't my story to tell.

Other books - I can send random Xanth or Forgotten Realms/Drizzt books your way if you like. I currently have them posted to paperbackswap.com but you'd be welcome to them, too...

2/10. Was going to ask you - what cookbook(s) have you gotten so far and what might you recommend for the gluten-free thing? I've seen a few books for such things, but it's not the same as flipping through an actual hardcopy or getting a recommendation from someone who has actually used the book in question...

1. Books- I love the Xanth series, and have read some of Salvatore's Drizzt books, but I think only the first two. I'd be grateful for any you feel like sharing! I'm looking forward to the Nano book, as well.

2. So far I have 2 gluten-free cookbooks.
Wheat-free, Gluten-free Cookbook for kids and busy adults
and Gluten-free Gourmet Cooks Fast and Healthy. I really love the second one, but the first has some cute ideas for things that are easy to make. I'd recommend either. Or any of the Gluten-Free Gourmet line.

I can send you most of the Xanth books 2-12 or so... and the Drizzt books that I have. I don't suppose you want some Anne Rice too? Mostly the vampire ones but also the first Witching Hour one...

I have been hearing good things about the Gluten-free Gourmet line... will have to keep an eye out... :)
