RL has been eating me alive lately. But I'm finally able to start posting my long NaNo fic :D I feel somewhat as though it's a little baby bird I have been nursing *takes deep breath and lets it spread its wings*

This? This was cool. I did not think I would like it, I am not big on AU but I enjoyed this. I like that despite Mary's best intentions, Sam and Dean are drawn into hunting. It is in their blood after all. I like this softer version of Sam and Dean, still them, but certainly not our boys. I only wish (and this is the John girl in me) there was more with John. Although, I suppose in this 'verse Mary is the hunter not John so it makes sense that he not play a major role.

I look forward to additional chapters.

I found it really interesting exploring what aspects of the boys would be the same if they'd had a different life. I'm fond of John, too - I actually found myself thinking a lot about what he is like in this 'verse, even though not much of that fit in the fic.

Thank you very much! I really enjoyed experimenting with the boys and trying to figure out which were the essential parts of their characters. I'm glad to know they still feel like our boys, even though I have changed a lot!
