Hmm, well, I haven't made an actual post (as opposed to a fic post) for a while, and I am in a random and procrastinatory mood tonight, so I thought I'd do a quick note.
I'm too sleepy to do proper links (late hour and one glass of wine, for I am a shocking light weight), but for an Ameripicker or whatever you want to call them, you could try this post: http://community.livejournal.com/drop_the_u/1464.html It's an oldish post, so SPN doesn't get mentioned, but loads of the people there are in the SPN fandom now.
And I hear you on the time issue - I'm having a good writing spell, which means I've totally neglected my flist this last week or so. And when work gets hectic, everything fannish suffers. I want it all, dammit!
Ooo thanks! You know, I never realised that you ran that comm, although I've used it quite a bit since I got into SPN fandom. It is an awesome resource, thank you! I checked out that thread... as it is quite old, how would you feel about making a new thread for people to offer their services on? It would give people a chance to say new fandoms, and generally say if their services are still available, and so on. (Of course, you may want to keep it simple, which I can appreciate, but I figured no hard in mentioning.)
Seriously, there should be more time in the world. Glad to hear you're having a good writing spell, though *looks forward to seeing result*
I'm already onto it with the new post - I hadn't realised that one was so old until I just checked it and realised it was pre-SPN. Well, I've not done it or anything, but I have a post-it note written. *g*
As you might have guessed, I'm up for Ameri-picking any time. Email me at mecurtin at alumni dot princeton dot edu, but let me know by replying to this email that you've done so -- I've had some problems with email going into the spam hole lately.
Thanks very much! You probably will not hear from me for a while, as I have a few non-SPN fics ongoing and a long project too, but it's good to know you're willing when I need an Ameripicker again :D I appreciate it!
Hey, I just friended you, which I thought I had already done after I read your J/J RPS fic. (Duh, I'm so goofy sometimes!) And if you need an American again for SPN or J/J fics, I'll be glad to help.
I hear you about RL--I have a totally chaotic RL and there are days when I don't get to write. It drives me insane. Then I'll see someone with four kids who works full time and volunteers for charity, posting really good epic SPN fics and I just want to fall over dead, lol!

RL is evil, seriously. And those super high-achievers must have some dark secret. Deals with crossroad demons, I reckon!
