Oh yes. Thanksgiving and all.

After everything, our Thanksgiving did go pretty well. We rolled into town at about 7pm on the 3rd to pick up the turkey. We considered whether to go to Winco, our 24hr grocery store, and keep on shopping, or to catch some shuteye. We finally settled on the latter and set an alarm for 3AM

We bought gluten-free premade frozen pie crust at New Seasons this year. It was pretty good, although it isn't something I'd buy regularly since it uses a sugar substitute rather than real sugar.

Hmmm. Since my filling used actual sugar I doubt the two would work together that well. It's probably just going to be one of those things where I keep experimenting till it comes out right. Since I tried to make a quadruple batch all at once this time, it may just be a case of trying to make too much at once.

Next time it may be better to make two double batches rather than one huge one. And since I didn't have an exact proportion of Xanthan Gum to add, maybe it just needed less than what I actually put in. I'll just keep trying.
