I hope you're feeling a lot better now, Kiki. I tried to think what would cheer you up and I figured the only thing you'd like more than a robot apocalypse would be two robot apocalypses!
OMFGZ I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. I ALREADY GOT CAPSLOCK IN MY EMAIL ABOUT THIS. GAH YOU HAVE APOCALYPSED US.
YOU HAD ME AT CYLONS+TERMINATORS, BUT THIS VID OFFERS SO MUCH MORE. IT IS DARING AND GORGEOUS AND THINKY AND HAS DARWIN QUOTES (!!!) AND MOSTLY I'M SPEECHLESS.
I was waiting until Kiki had seen the vid to comment back but Best. Reaction. Ever. I was so anxious about the reception this vid might receive but now I have the Capslock of Vindication, I'm happy.
I want to have this vid's robotic babies so that they can evolve into more adaptable creatures and cause my extinction.
Serioulsy, I do not have the words for how amazing and awesome this is. It's just...*flails* It's incredible. I think you make your argument about evolution very clearly and affecting and the editing (as yours always, always is) takes my breath away.
I said to cyborganize that her reaction was the best ever but it just gets better and better! I get the whole Cylon Vidding Machine giving it the thumbs up. Seriously awesome!
I was going to wait till the comm opened up to comment, but I can't imagine kiki_miserychic will be offended that the cylon vidding machine couldn't control their excitement.
Like the others said, this is pretty much the most amazing thing ever. I love the correspondences between T:SCC and BSG, but this goes so much beyond just pointing them out. You bring the images from the two shows into correspondence just breathtakingly, and oh! the Darwin! And the end!
I imagine that it is quite a scary thing when the Cylon vidding machine can't control itself, planets may be endangered!
The two shows are so similar I just imagined Sarah Connor fighting terminators on earth whilst Kara Thrace wa blowing cylons out of the sky. Of course BSG kind of scuppered that idea with the Planet of the Apes Cylons version of earth.
It's certainly a relief that the vid makes sense and also a relief that I didn't stick with it's working title of "Go Darwin, It's Your Birthday".
Hell yeah if I inspired this. I love it when you go dark, it's amazing. There's so many things that I love like robot apocalypses, human nature, Darwin, and religion. This is a mashup that's been on my rotating playlist since it was released
