Mom is recovering in ICU. They figured out what was causing the pain and rectified it--long story short, instead of exploding like most people's, her appendix disintegrated and the infection started to spread to her intestines. Four hours of chop-chop and she's healing up missing a few bits but this is one of the best outcomes I could have
