People Do Stupid Things

Under duress of torture, people will agree to almost anything.  In the fine flick Reservoir Dogs, "Nice Guy" Eddie takes umbrage with the well-meaning but counterproductive stupidity of Misters Blonde, Pink and White beating down poor bluesuit Officer Marvin Nash as they try to discover who the inside man on the job.

What's your take on PJ Harvey (Badmouth)? Is her guitar sufficiently angry for you?

If by "angry" you mean "out of tune and played poorly," then yes, it's angry as all get-out. It's been my experience that it's virtually impossible to get a good, solid crunch tone out of a Fender Telecaster, even more so if it has a lipstick pickup and not a traditional single-coil or a humbucker.

Then again, I am probably the wrong person to be critiquing PJ Harvey. I've always thought she was dreadfully overrated and a sloppy songwriter. As for the guitar tone itself... no. Hopelessly weak.
