Writing 101 -- Series(al?) Killers

May 30, 2007 15:16

Last week I finished Born In Death by J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) and it was excellent.  This makes it the 23rd time in a row that Ms. Robb has managed to if not crank the ball out of the park, at the very least blast a stout double.  If you don't think that's a noteworthy accomplishment, then you obviously passed out face-first in your oatmeal ( Read more... )

W00tage! My first link from another. Permission granted, and thanks!

(PS: I don't care what ESPN says, in no way shape, manner or form are the Yankees finished. We both know this. The season is just too damned long.)

Rawger won't have anything to do with it; it'll be all about starting pitching getting one more guy back and a couple trades for decent setup guys for the bullpen. The true travesty is that Joe Torre is being even partially blamed for this debacle. Like it's fault the pitchers can't hit water from a boat?

Cashman will be looking for another job no matter what. He has no idea how to build a contending team; it doesn't just end with at-bats. At least Steinbrenner wants to field a competitive [roduct, right? Gotta give the Devil his due.

*bows* Thank you. Standalones are definitely fun; easier to write than a series, in my opinion. I've done that as well, it's just that the current story arc involves doing multiple books. It happens that way sometimes.

Glad you enjoyed.
