duct tape scars on my honey

So, I had a hellacious and stressful week. By the way, in times of great stress, the Zombie version of a tantrum is to lock myself in a dark bedroom and hide under a pile of blankets, curled into a fetal position and sticking the pointy plastic ears of a plush Batman into my mouth. This is most definitely left over from my childhood as a wee and ( Read more... )

Awww, I love your Batman-related stress relief! Batman can fix anything. :)
Sorry your week was hellish, and hope it's improving now! Well done on your test, too!

The ridiculous thing is that NO ONE was pleased by the B. And I'm like, it was the third highest grade in the class! And everyone is like, NOT GOOD ENOUGH. And I'm like, D: I'LL JUST GIVE UP AND GO EAT WORMS THEN.

Hahah, Batman. He really can. On days that I expect to be harsh, I wear a Joker shirt or a Batman shirt.

Oh dear, why don't people understand grading?!? If the test was that hard, then a B is awesome!!!! Well, I say congrats, anyway. :)

Ah, Batman, so good for cheering a girl up! :D If I am down, if my eyes happen to wander over to my Batman figures I am almost instantly cheered up, because they are so ridic. Especially Joker and Jokester, who just sit there grinning at each other all day. Usually wearing a straightjacket and pyjamas with trucks on them respectively. :)

Your Joker and Jokester are AMAZING; I love them. And truck pajamas. TRUCK PAJAMAS. My heart just exploded. I'm totally using this if I ever have a reason to write the Jokester in pajamas.

I appreciate your congrats. :) After talking to some other people in the class, I feel much better about it--I know what's what better than a lot of people do, and that's the important thing. BOOK LEARNIN'.

Aw, sorry to hear you had such a stressful week! I'm sure Bats is only too happy to be drooled on. ;)

I was pondering the Pagliacci prompt, too, but my mind kept going to your Bruce/Joker-verse: Bruce's private box at the Gotham Opera (he'd so have a season ticket), Bruce getting stood up by his date, an unwanted visitor, getting felt up during the 'vesti la giubba' aria with a hissed lecture on masks/costumes/roles, a commedia dell'arte troupe infiltrated by J's goons, a prop knife switched for a real one.

I'm so damn literal.

Hope you're feeling better. *sends bat sparkles*

I LOVE YOU LIKE WHOA AND THIS APPEALS TO MY PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AND META PLAY WITHIN A PLAY LOVING SENSIBILITIES SO HARD OH MY GOD. I WANT THIS I WANT THIS I WAAAAAAAAAAANT.

Also, friend, it was *your* prompt, so that is *our* verse. You should definitely work in it. But, unf, yes, it would fit in there so well. But seriously, your summary is amazing.

My mind is very literal in that I feel that someone must be cast as Canio, and someone must be Silvio; therefore, I need a Nedda... that was tricker, conceptually, that I expected it to be. I flipped it around once I figured it out to see how I liked it, and I think I could do it both ways. For me, the grand finale is *someone* snarling "the joke's over," stamping on a background of blood and heartache. There are knives in one version, and choking in the other--the girl changes, but the motives don't...
