I'm doing my best not to let what I've done influence the new me. I'd say it's working, but I guess I'm probably not the best judge.

Must be hard, losing one Doctor. I mean, I know you got the other one in his place, but it can't possibly be the same. They were two different people.

Yeah, well, losing your best mate like that is like losing a limb.

I'd feel the same if I ever lost Dean. In a way, I'm glad we ended up here. I don't know how I ever would have survived on my own, knowing he was trapped in Hell.

[holds his tongue, then turns to the cabinet behind him, grabbing the mug he's seen her use the most, setting it next to the kettle as kind of a peace offering]

What kind of tea did you want?

[chipsandtea]

[Blinks] Regular black would be fine.

[zombie_pen]

[starts the kettle, rummaging through the tea cabinet until he finds the black tea, pulling out a tea bag & setting it in the mug. When the kettle whistles, he pours the water in, letting it steep for a few minutes before taking out the tea bag, setting it in the sink]

Here you go.

[hands her the mug, pouring himself another coffee, keeping to the counter to put as much space as he can between them, just like he said he would]

[Looks at the mug, slightly surprised, then goes to add milk and sugar]

Um, thanks. You didn't have to make me any tea.

[shrugs]

I wanted to.

[sips on his second cup of caffeine, glancing out the window]

Looks like it's going to be a nice day.

Yeah, it does, I guess. Might as well take advantage of it and take Fay for a nice walk later, yeah?

Yeah, that would be a great idea. I saw a nice park nearby with a huge field while I was out the other day. Could let her off the leash & go nuts. Maybe bring a frisbee or something for her to chase.
