Recently I observe something: since I am in the program with a lot of 22-24 year olds, I've discovered that there is a "generation gap" between Myspace & Facebook ( Read more... )

Bet none of them even heard of Livejournal, which WAY predates all of that. It even predates the term "blog".

in my experience, its been the other way around, but it could just be that the 22-24 year olds are actually the older kids now. i think this is because facebook is less random and more about networking. people only add you if they actually know you, so there is a lot less whoring going on.

at this point, myspace is all little kids with too much time on their hands that don't know better.

to be honest, myspace totally sucks. facebook is superior in every possible way. everyone should just put myspace in the dumpster where it belongs.

i think this is myspace's last year of being a viable interpersonal tool. in my estimation, it will obsolete by this time next year.

but myspace allows music and musicians to connect, which facebook does not.

Interesting that you noted that. I think MySpace is much more juvenile, but I dig the musical connections aspect of it. And its far easier to spy on people in MySpace ;).
