riding again

23 miles, took me 2 hours, out of shape on an unfamiliar bike. Traffic is the thing that bothers me the most. Something about several tons of killing machine, waiting to squash me. I think I'll extend the ride even further to avoid traffic.

I worry about you and Roy on your bicycles in traffic. Of course, I worry about me on my tractor. I get in some situations that scare me. The tractor is so massive that it's like a big killing machine that I have under control.

You may be interested to know then that almost all of my commute is via a separate bike path inaccessible to cars. I'm going to change my routes such that the amount of time I spend on bike paths and quiet residential streets will increase from 85% to 95%.

How did the bike perform? Was it shifting ok? I probably should have brought over a bottle of tri-flow lube.
