Oh my god. So I just caught up with Batman and Robin, and I cannot even describe to you the immensity of my glee. In issue 23, everyone's favorite red-headed stepchild is back, and dayum boy is fine. I have to say, Jason, the long red locks and facial hair are really working for me, for serious, never dye your hair again, babe, the ginge looks ( Read more... )

Oh my that sounds very excellent. I haven't gotten around to picking that issue up yet, got knocked out by the flu last week mostly better now, but I'll probably pick up issue twenty-three tomorrow. Sounds like I should be looking forward to it.

Oh hey you! I was sort of wondering what had happened to you, hadn't heard much from you for a couple of weeks. Figured you were busy working or something... how's that going for you so far? Aside from having the flu, that is, ouch! D:

But yeah, I'd managed to get several issues behind... hadn't read any since the issues I actually bought a few months ago. Then today someone referenced issue 23 and I was like, oh god dammit, I haven't even read issue 21... so I devoured them like a devouring thing.

I have to say, I've not been exposed to Jason very much in the comics... just the bits where he was Robin, and his run in Battle for the Cowl and Batman and Robin. But god dammit I kind of adore him. Gotta love an anti-hero! Oh, he is such a bad boy~.

Aw, she missed me. XD Methinks she must be missing a lot of people, what with all her posts. ;) Yeah, I played too hard the weekend before last, didn't get enough sleep, and then managed to come down with a a late season mutation of the flu that my inoculation didn't protect me against. :( So I've pretty much been dead to the world the last week or so. I did listen to a very good science fiction novel by Vernor Vinge, "A Deepness in the Sky." It does an excellent job exploring the 'what if humans are the invading alien species' trope. He also limits it to our current physics for the most part, mostly no FTL, which I've actually decided is kind of a cool constraint to use for writing science fiction. I've also been taking advantage of the free month of Netflix they decided to offer me in order to coax me back into the fold, and watching all kinds of anime. And yeah, works been doing pretty well, not much to say about it though ( ... )

*shrug* I go through phases with my Livejournal, either I'm posting all the time or not at all, and just now my time is mostly my own, so it's easy to take a few minutes to record my thoughts.

Oooh, that would be fun! Damian and Jason have an interesting dynamic.

Yeah, I was maybe even a bit disappointed with his treatment earlier on in the title, but this is great. His personality comes through really well and he comes across as deadly and dangerous, but not insane. I'm really happy with it, because Jason can be a really interesting character if handled right.
