I leave for Hawaii on the 30th of April, in theory. (HAVEN'T ACTUALLY MADE MY FLIGHTS YET WHY HAVEN'T I DONE THAT AAAAAHHHH!!) We definitely need to hang out some. ...We'll have to plan around all of that other crazy nonsense, though. HEY MAYBE WE SHOULD DO SOMETHING THIS WEEKEND LIKE ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY.

Saturday would be best for me since I am actually free then! We can watch movies or something or go somewhere cheap if it's nice. (This last paycheck suuuuucked.)

If you are free Friday evening, one of my friends from work is in a play that's going to be showing that night, about the trial of Judas in Hell (he's playing Judas ♥). It's free with a suggested $5 donation. Only downside is that it's a bit of a ride out into the NE.

Fffff and by this weekend I meant next weekend, fuck me I'm getting the days mixed up already, argh. ...Not that I wouldn't be free this weekend, I just have no fucking clue about my schedule yet because Cory's coming into town tomorrow and staying for a week but other than that I don't know what her schedule is like or when I might be hanging out with her. I'LL GET BACK TO YOU but in theory all of that sounds like fun!

Jealous! This sounds so awesome. It actually kind of makes me want to go to C2E2 this weekend, but... I have yet to figure out how to do the comics convention thing properly. I never have the courage to talk to anyone, and tend to compose like, tomes to people in my head that then get all jumbled up when I try to talk and... yeah. So at least you can still form complete sentences in front of your heroes! I can't even form entire words in front of people I kind of sort of follow. (-; Maybe I can come with you next time, and you'll feel super cool no matter what you say or do, because I would be hiding behind you, cowering. ^_^

Protip: Bring something for them to sign/doodle in, WHY DIDN'T I EVEN THINK OF THIS UNTIL I GOT THERE, I AM STUPID AND NO ONE TOLD ME HOW THESE THINGS WORK.

Untested Theory: Donuts are a good ice breaker and will make people like you even if you are otherwise failface and lame. (I hate to give away my best idea ever, but I can part with my secrets to my valued friends, I suppose.)

...I guess the thing to remember about talking to the guests is that EVERYONE IS DOING IT, so really, it's okay, they're used to it, they expect it, EVERYTHING IS FINE.

Dude, I totally rehearsed what I would tell Bruce Timm about why I adore him. It's extremely unfortunate that I made such a bad impression before I got to that bit. ...I am going to assume he will forget about me entirely, if he hasn't already; that thought makes me feel slightly better.

YES WE SHOULD GO TO A CON TOGETHER SOMEDAY IN THE HAZY FUTURE.

Thank you, now I don't need to feel like I need to make a great big expositional post of the events of the epicness of this weekend.

And you were adorable with Bruce Timm, next year you'll just have to remember to bring a comic or DVD set for him to sign, and a sketchpad. It really makes it easier, and any creator loves being told that people appreciate their work.

I hadn't realized that Greg Pak was one of the writers for Marvel 1602, he wrote Vision Machine.

That whole weekend was kind of epic and awesome, it was really neat meeting these all these artists and writers whose work I admire. I'm kind of hoping some of the editors remember me. Hopefully Filip will, I managed to catch him just before the end of the con. and it would be really awesome if my little suggestion to start making Smallville comics actually gets things rolling at DC. Misfit did have a cameo in this weeks Birds of Prey. I was pleased. she made an adorable crack about Steph's purple batsuit, hopefully we'll see more of her. T_T

I wasn't even thinking, I don't think it even occurred to me to try to get autographs/doodles off of anyone until I got there... I think I thought I'd just stare at everyone from a distance? ^_^;; DVD set had occurred to me (after I got there, obviously), but I don't actually have one... next time I need to plan my cons more than a week in advance, obviously. I was keeping my eye out, sort of, on Saturday morning, but I didn't see anything of Bruce Timm's that I could buy on the spot. ...Ah well, highly successful con considering I had no idea what I was doing and no idea what to expect before I got there.

Next time! T_T You had great time, I had a great time. That's really what matters. You'll probably be off in the field somewhere in Hawaii this summer, but there's a very good chance I'll be trying to get myself down to San Diego Con. Something to think on.

AHHHHHHHHH. As a native to San Diego, I highly recommend going if you can. And while you're down there, take a detour into Balboa Park, Seaport Village, and Old Town, all of which are either a very short bus or rail ride away. The Gaslamp Quarter is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE CONVENTION CENTER OMG. I hear it is a good place to hang out, but I left Cali before turning 21 and it's mostly bars there, so. ;(

Free awesome poster with autographs was an unexpected and pleasant surprise, and I figured I could not possibly enjoy it more than you could. I enjoyed talking to them and taking a picture with them, and I would almost definitely have missed them entirely if you hadn't told me when they'd be there and where/strongly encouraged me to go say hi to them even though I am a weenie who is afraid of celebrities, so you deserve it.

I didn't get a chance to ask Griffin if she enjoyed torturing her husband on Immersion, oh well.

My god, that sounds completely amazing! I'm so, so glad you had so much fun! Also, I don't understand the utter awesomeness that must be most of those things you mention, but I will tell you that I am pretty jealous about the Anthropology of Firefly panel, I'd be ALL OVER THAT, no lie.

Also, crazy random talker on train -- I HEAR YOU. I've had that happen a couple times, too! But I am a MUCH LESS COOL person than you, and earphones were invented for a reason.

Incidentally, can I please tap you for a beta job on my Inception Reverse_Big Bang fic? It's approx 5K long, and suit!porn abounds. I will go so far as to say, IT'S ALL SUIT!PORN. And I have to post an H50 fic next Saturday, so if I send it to you by Wednesday, would you be okay to look it over? /selfishness
