I just- I have flashbacks to when all of the games first arrived on Facebook a few years ago, and that's when I started to hate Facebook. I feel like LJ is not set up in such a way as to spam me into a permanent state of rage, and these aren't really those kinds of games, but. It makes me nervous, gets my hackles up. LJ, you are supposed to be my happy, safe place, where there's no spam very little spam fucking Russians and nothing but nerdy joy as far as the eye can see! STOP TRYING TO BE FACEBOOK!

I think they're trying to appeal to the new bloggers, ie the Facebook crowd. A lot of the games are the same as over there (Farm Neighbors, seriously).

I just... I don't have any problems with games really, that's stupid. I don't play a lot of games, but whatever, if that's how other people want to spend their time. It's just... I know Facebook has changed a lot in the last few years, but when the first games showed up and SPAMMED THE FUCK OUT OF ME, that's when I was filled with hate and rage for Facebook and everything it represents, and now I spend as little time there as possible. And I know LJ's not really set up for that kind of spam, and these aren't those kinds of games, but. ARGH.

Well, hopefully you have a lot of friends here who are already getting their fix in Facebook and won't be doing the same here. I myself don't want to see LJ become another Facebook. The entertainment value I get from here is vastly different from the FB side of things.

I KNOW RIGHT. Ugh. I stated my disapproval in lj_releases and was subsequently ignored by the staffer who was responding to everyone else, haha. But seriously. Every major update brings LJ one step closer to Facebook. Why can't they just appreciate that LJ and Facebook are two different and separate things and that they should stay that way? >:(((

Yeah... winning over new people = short-term profit followed shortly by everyone jumping ship to whatever the next cool thing is. Focusing on keeping longtime users = long-term profit, continued internet relevance due to having a unique identity, etc. :/

Marquee is that tag that we use to spam each other by making text scroll across the screen in an awesome over-the-top way. Apparently some spam-bots were using it somehow? idek. So they made it not work anymore and that makes me sad.

Also I know a game you should play. That has online multiplayer that is not on LJ. And is awesome. :)
