Haha, that would be funny, because my friend sirona_gs has a car named Steve! ...She lives on the other side of the planet, though, so it would be very sad for Steve and Danny to be forever apart. ;_;

I agree car is tiny and probably wears ties and I love it, all things which car has in common with Danny, but... car isn't loud enough, and I'm pretty sure car likes pineapple.

...Actually in the time it's taken me to make this post I've already decided on the perfect name. His name is Oliver! (It's a Top Gear thing. I'll make a second post to explain.)

Yay car! You won't be sorry it's automatic if you ever have to take it off the Big Island. :) I had a 5-speed for many years, and once I moved to the big city, I did not want it any more. stop and go traffic for an hour with a manual transmission is no great fun.

Name it whatever you want -- if you change your mind later, cars are like people -- their personalities can change over their lifetimes, and thus they deserve a new name. And like cats, also, because it doesn't matter what you name them, they won't answer to it.

Heh, no, I know, I drove my best friend/roommate's 6-speed manual in Portland, and that was sometimes a pain in the ass. ...Worth it, though, for how much fun he was to drive the rest of the time. I've had to deal with it occasionally in Purple Truck, like if I'm coming down the highway and it's rush hour or there's an accident. ...Idk, I just really like driving stick... and I think it's pretty unlikely I'll be moving off-island and/or taking this vehicle with me.

His name is Oliver! IT'S PERFECT. And I think he likes it! ^_^

CONGRATULATIONS, THAT IS AWESOME! I am buying a car shortly too (mine got wrecked, no one was in it at the time) and will probably get a Honda, may be getting 2010 Honda Insight. Yours is lovely!
