For starters, why is that Gotye song so impossible to stop listening to? It's driving me crazy I love it ahhhhh.

I was so happy this morning when I woke up and found the news about Obama! I'm just...so glad he said it, and even more glad that this means we live in a time when a politician can reasonably decide that supporting gay marriage isn't as big a political risk as dragging his feet on it. When I was in high school the Supreme Court announced that it was ludicrous and laughable that gay people should ever have the same rights as straight people, that to even say that homosexual sex was a private, legal act would be "to cast aside millenia of moral teaching"...and now it's considered a savvy political move to say that gay people not only can legally have sex, but can get married. I know we've got a long way to go, but I'm just so happy to be seeing the tide change in my life. And I admire Barack Obama for stepping up there and doing his bit to change it.
