The Hazards of Love was released today! I bought my copy off of iTunes... turns out I could've bought it on the 18th, but oh well. I've only had time to listen to the beginning so far, but IT'S SO PRETTY. Apparently today The Decemberists were signing CDs in Portland AND I MISSED IT. Also oh well. And lol, there's another concert in Troutdale

To make matters worse, I knew the Decemberists were signing albums, but I'm too far away from Portland to do anything about it. (Goshdarnit why doesn't Chicago produce any good bands?!)

I've also had bits and pices of Hazards of Love stuck in my head for days.

In the Troutdale concerts they're playing with Andrew Bird and Blind Pilot... Dar says you're a fan of Andrew Bird? ...Obviously what needs to happen is you need to get your ass over here and visit us! :DDD

Hehe, oh man, that is going to be a great concert. Even if you're not a big fan of Andrew Bird, he puts on good shows.

I need to travel aaaaagh why don't I get more vacation days for these things?

I'm almost done with the album and I LOVE IT. It's given me ideas for so many things I want to draw, except except except I am totally going to papercut them and glue them together instead of just straight up drawing them. I've already done a few tonight, but before I heard the album and I stopping is not an option.

Ahah, wow. No, it doesn't. I'm also five hundred kinds of exhausted and I plan on pulling an all nighter. I've got to do a bunch of cleaning and laundry before Dar and I leave on Thursday.
