The scary/hilarious balance was absolutely perfect, this episode. :D

LESTRADE! I kind of neglected to mention him in my post, and now I feel bad, because actually he was great. Being all Useful and Big Scary DI From London at the hotel people! And then turning up with an actual gun to the hollow. (I don't know how he managed to get hold of that - from the Devon police presumably, but surely even DIs can't just wander into other people's police stations and start asking for equipment that's not generally given out to the police except in special cases. Then again, everything I know about UK policing pretty much comes from Life on Mars. XD I'd still like to know where/how he acquired a gun. I bet Mycroft gave him some kind of Free Pass.)

MYCROFT'S FACE is probably one of my favourite things about this episode. (That and his terse texts to Sherlock. *giggles*)

I really need to read Hound of the Baskervilles. (And ... most of the other stories ( ... )

Ha ha everything I know about UK policing is from Life On Mars, too! XDD

I've read all of the Sherlock Holmes stories... my mom has them all collected in one large volume in a book downstairs. ...My problem is, I read that book when I was thirteen and haven't really gotten around to rereading since, so my memory on a lot of things is a bit fuzzy. But I recollect enough that it definitely enhances my viewing of BBC's Sherlock and the Ritchie films. All the little nods to the original, om nom nom delicious.

I didn't pick up on it either, which is even more worrying. - Uh-oh, have you been infected by American English? Bwahaha~.

FFFFFFFFFFFF MOFFAT YOU ARE A DICK I HATE YOU. ...NO WAIT I DON'T MEAN THAT, I DON'T, I'M SORRY. NEVER LEAVE ME. ...BUT I STILL KIND OF HATE YOU A LITTLE.

I've read (I think all of) The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. I decided (after the first Ritchie film) to read all of them, in as much order as I could manage, especially since I had a collection (of the Adventures and Memoirs, I think) lying around. I got through the Adventures and then things got in the way. :( Mmmmm, I do love the way they keep referencing the original stories and other adaptations. <3

I think I have, oh dear. I should probably say something incredibly English now, while drinking tea and - I don't know, eating crumpets? Is that suitably English? :P

I KNOW, RIGHT! The Moffat&Gatiss tweets in the run-up to Hounds were just ridiculous. Brilliant (and 100% non-spoilery) but AUGH TEASING! If they do it again, I am going to be literally tearing my hair out.

Indeed, tea and crumpets, while saying things like "wotcher" and "toodle-pip". ...There. That's sorted. :D

...I guess this is where I am glad I don't spend much time on Twitter, for the sake of my own sanity. @_@

WHAT. OH MY GOD. WHO IS THIS PERSON. WHY DID SHE GET TO WATCH IT EARLY. Oh my gaaaaaaaaawwwdd she's making it sound like last week's ep only worse. I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL SURVIVE EITHER.

Do you get to watch this week's yet? Soon? ...Regardless, have you seen the present Moriarty left on John's blog for them? b_c_draygon up there found me a region-free version on Tumblr because she is fabulous and she loves me. ...Anyway, you can watch it before or after the ep, either way, it doesn't have any spoilers for the ep whatsoever.

SHE IS MARTIN'S WIFE!! ALSO AWESOME. <3 I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL SURVIVE AT ALL. T________T

It has just finished downloading on my laptop! The only thing is, I am exhausted, today has been hideous and all I want is to read some silly fic and go to bed. So if I watch it now, I'll a) have alllll the nightmares, probably, and b) won't be able to flail as the ep deserves. I might leave it for tomorrow just because I'm dead on my feet. :(((

AND NO I HAVEN'T SEEN THAT!! I think I'll wait until after I watch the ep, though, JUST IN CASE. *________*

Is she? Lucky girl.

Oh, poor thing, yes, get some sleep! *pets*

Haha, it really is completely unrelated, but nothing wrong with saving it up, I suppose. I mean, these wee tidbits are all we've got to keep us going until next week. ;_; ...That and rewatching eps, omg, I hope my mom doesn't expect to not be watching "A Scandal" tonight with dinner. Because really she has no choice in the matter, it would've been last night but I gave her a pass for Downton Abbey.
