EEEE PICSPAM!! I have to tell you, since I slapped the one you sent me as the desktop on my computer at work, I keep getting people come over and just stare and say WOW a lot. :D Yay for admiration by proxy! :D

Yeah, GUH, I really cannot get over how gorgeous that shot came out. I mean, honestly, I guess it's pretty hard to take a bad shot of a volcano, but WOW. Drama!

Arrrrrrr!! The pirate thing was kinda last-minute, but I'm really pleased with how it came out!

Wow, you have been busy! Sounds like you've been having a lot of fun thought. And you make an awesome pirate! ;) (I can always get behind pirate themes, there are not enough pirate themed thing ever.)

Also, I really enjoyed the picspam. Love the photo of Kealakekua Bay with the two-master (but then, I am a sucker for anything that includes boats/ships with sails). Oh, and the waterfall - spectacular. Thanks for sharing the pictures. :D

However. There is one thing that I have not been able to put out of my mind since I read it (way up at the very beginning) and it's still bugging me now. Namely: fried ice-cream?! How does that work?! O.o Wouldn't it melt? Maybe I have just never lived ...

Thank you! I'm quite pleased with the pirate costume my own self. (Trufax, pirate themes are always the correct decision.)

I totally agree about boats and ships with sails, and like I said, this ship being where it was really added something to the scene with the historical context. ...One of these years I should get out to Lake Michigan during the Tall Ships Festival, it's, like, a convention for sailing ships. Also there are lots of pirates.

‘Akaka Falls is bloody gorgeous, isn't it? It's one of the many reasons I will defend the wet and rainy Hilo side of the island over the dry and sunny Kona side... Kona don't have no waterfalls, and we have pretty ones out the yingyang. (Really the whole island is excellent, but we just like to have East side/West side fights. It's tradition.)

Ohmigod you've never had fried ice cream?! You really haven't lived, oh my god. Yeah, as I understand it the ice cream has to be really freaking cold, like, colder than usual, and you batter it and stuff and then stick it in a deep fryer really
