It's a quiet afternoon and Angela keeps using her LJ like a Twitter.

There's something very satisfying about preparing breadfruit. Like I can feel the weight of history pressing down on me, the thousands of years that the peoples of the Pacific have used this food to sustain themselves and their families.

I was lucky enough to catch part of a performance she did that they played live on the radio. This song made me go buy the album-the other couple songs I heard made me sure I'd like the whole thing.

I've spent the afternoon perusing some of her other songs... I do remember "Chasing Pavements", actually, from back in 2008. That video is awesome.

She's fab in all the songs I listened to, but this one blows the others out of the water, imo.

LJ is the new Twitter, y'all. (I do the same thing. Fuck Twitter.)

I think I'd like Adele a little more if she weren't so over played on the radio. The radio station at work has this rotation: Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Adele, Usher, maybe someone else.

Oh, and have a song that isn't mainstream. Casey LaLonde | A Knife and A Heart

I posted it a while, but I still want to sex up this man's vocal cords.

FUCK TWITTER!

Huh... I've only heard the song once on the radio, a few days ago. I think the only one of the above that I hear with regularity is Katy Perry... she does that "Fireworks" song, right?

*listens... boogies*

Yeah, thanks for reposting that, I remember you posting it but at the time I was overwhelmed with something or other and never got around to clicking the link. ...Dunno that his voice does anything in particular for me, but the song is very boogieable. And extra bonus points for use of banjo!

I don't know what station they have on perpetually at work, but it's terrible and the guys and I hate it. Katy Perry does everything bad in this world. That's pretty much all you need to know. ):
