The menu sounds fantastic. I've had stuff like that chocolate bread in Switzerland, where it's a bit crustier than challah but otherwise similar.

Happy whatever! I am so glad to see it over. I get really excited about Christmas right up until Christmas eve and then by about 1pm on the 25th I'm like, bored now, can it be spring?

I tried to come up with a meal that tasted wonderful, but took relatively little prep to get done. La Cyn picked up the chicken the day before, and I had it marinating in olive oil, garlic, rosemary, and shallots for nearly 24 hours before it saw the inside of the oven.

The bread comes out quite crusty, it's a variation on "Berne brot" ... which, eh, Swiss bread?

I'm so happy to see the end of 2010. All in all it feels like the end of a crap year and I'm glad to be shut of it. ONWARD.
