Fantastic! I was out taking photos of my grape vines today to post for the very same reason. I filled three garden bags just with the clippings after thinning them out!

I'd like somebody to invent a way to smell or taste over the internet, please.

Actually, the tomato plants have more scent than the saffron buns do. They're this intense, aggressive green that I can smell on my hands even after I wash them.

And they've just started coming out with buds in the past few days!!

Ooh, they sound lovely! What sort of tomatoes are they (hopefully) going to be? I've just come home for the night and all the flowers I planted up around the door this afternoon have filled the air with a beautiful perfume, but I do like the smell of leaves and undergrowth too.

It's an heirloom brandywine. I got four plants at the farmers' market, after I tried the actual tomatoes the vendor was selling. These were just wee sprouts when I got them.

Mmm, I like the sound of brandywine tomatoes! It sounds as though, even if they're relatively slow, they're worth the wait.

I'm not surprised you only had four of the buns left - they do look good. The question is how much longer those four will survive...

Hurrah for Your New Pony!

Yeah, they're heirlooms, so they should have actual flavor to them. I'm looking forward to their crop this year. I bought four of the plants the first day of the farmers' market this year.

And yes, HURRAH and HUZZAH for My New Pony!
