Oooh, you had the next interview today right? Does this mean they offered you the job...? *Reins in eager congratulatory outburst* *Tries to figure out what job it could be, before she fills out poll - considering she knows from experience how soul-sucking jobs can be!*
See, potential employees having an unwavering desperation for a position regardless of how they actually might function in it/with the employer might work for Alan Sugar, but it used to really piss me off when managers used it to hassle us in recruitment. I mean, somebody is actually taking the time to make an informed, often logical and unemotional decision that will impact on lives and businesses. That should either tell the employer that the potential employee is more desirable than they already thought, or that they might not be the right person for the job (mutually speaking, if that's the right word?) and is therefore a sign of getting it wrong!
And any employer (like Alan Sugar) who thinks you should automatically be desperate for that next interview, better bloody make the pay worth that desperation!
I cheated! I asked pescana - she filled me in. Wait if you can. There just has to be something better out there. There are easier ways to sell your soul.
Something/anything to do with books; baking/cooking; garage-sale-ing/reselling on ebay...
Have you heard of Yoga Nidra? Check for it on itunes. It's about $10... and worth it... you need it in an audio version; I'd call it a meditation walk-through. I've only done the first one (there are two different kinds) and it worked for me.
Don't know anything about the job, so... dunno. I'm a little skeptical of the aggressive hire tactic and pushy interview style in an economy that doesn't typically recquire such an approach.
On the other hand, taking one job doesn't prevent you from continuing to look for something else.
