What?

I mean, I'm not surprised that Mr. Fierce Advocate continues not to support same-sex marriage; that's not new. I just don't understand how not supporting same-sex marriage and supporting equality for gays and lesbians go together at all. Maybe it's an opposite-land logic thing

He's said before that he opposes same-sex marriage but also opposes a constitutional ban on it, so who knows.

But yeah, I think he's trying to have it both ways here (or his spokesman is) and it just doesn't work - not least because the right-wingers he seems determined to court will never support him no matter what he does.
