Yes, yes, and yes. I've actually been excited to see Watchmen in theaters -- love the comic, figured the movie would suck by comparison but it would still be worth seeing just for the owl ship if nothing else. (love!)
Then I saw this via Shakesville, and yeah. I'm done. Even though box office returns don't go to the writers, I'll be damned if I'm going to support anything this fuckwad is involved with, ever again. I'll be watching his career so I know what to avoid.
I was kind of indifferent to the thought of seeing the movie; I've read the graphic novel, but it's one of those things I appreciate on a technical and stylistic level, as opposed to loving it. The movie previews just looked loud and short on nuance, which ironically made it look like Opposite Day-Watchmen to me, if that makes any sense. Although apparently the guy who plays Rorschach is very good?
Now I want nothing to do with the movie whatsoever.
