The PS2 games are all third-person, although Nocturne has a first-person option. I tended to get disoriented when the camera wasn't behind me, though (say, if my character was running towards the camera) so I kept my fingers hovering over the L1/R1 buttons, just in case I needed to reorient. Eventually it just became second nature.
I had the most trouble with Longtitle, to be honest, because the backgrounds are pre-rendered and it was often hard to tell where you were in relation to your enemies in battle.
Persona 3/FES might be the easiest to deal with in terms of camera angles, I think. The camera is farther away and shows more of the dungeon area, although you can still pan around.
I was most interested in the character/plot, boss battle/villain, and favorites sections, but that's still a lot of questions. Basically, the "your favorite [insert topic here]" questions.
How into the music aspects do you get? How it sounds, how it fits, stuff like that.

There's also the fact that it was the first of the PS2 Megatens. The later games generally have more refined gameplay. (Longtitle has its own issues.)
What gave you problems with it, if you don't mind my being nosy?
