Such spare words to carry this kind of punch. Not a sentence too many.

And ooh, dark. Like a snapshot, that suspended moment in time between the catastrophe and the moving on that's just bleakly held breath.

Each display of grief fits like a glove, but it's Jayne's that struck me the most. That utter.. lack of moving. A powerful image.

I'm vaaaastly impressed!

Thank you very much. This story hit me like a one-two punch and left me with some horrible nightmares afterwards. So I guess Kaylee Had her revenge for me putting her through the wringer. :)
