I was drawn in by the description and really loved this! I love the idea of kirk and spock just kind of crashing into each other and knowing so early and seeing that love continue (angst-free) through the academy. i loved spock's protectiveness of jim so so much. and jim's tattoo - unf! and i thought uhura was really well done, though i have to say i hope she and kirk go back to being friends because they seemed good together during that little time when they were friends. but yeah, really loved this.

Good, I had no idea how to describe this for the summary thingy, glad to hear it worked. Yeah, I love teen AUs with them so hard. Kirk still has some issues with letting people in but I think if they both put a sincere effort in getting to know each other they could eventually be friends again. I didn't see this as something that would forever ruin their chances at friendship, just a situation that got out of hand and that would make things super awkward and tense for a while. Thank you!

Strangely enough, I found myself feeling a little sorry for Uhura. She did deserve it; but ... I don't know. I'd kinda like to see them forgive her and be friends again. I'm curious if Gaila knew Jim and Spock were married. She did tell Uhura she was "pretty sure" Spock was married and "from what [she'd] heard it sounded pretty serious," like she wasn't *completely* sure. Still, she was also friends with Jim and if she thought Jim was single, I think Gaila would likely had made a pass at him. So maybe she DID know for sure but felt it wasn't her secret to tell. She did try to warn Uhura off.

Yeah, they all played a part in it. It wasn't totally her fault. And I mean, unrequited love sucks, so I don't think it's that strange to feel bad for her. I imagine them slowly rebuilding their friendship, and finally on the enter[rise really becoming real friends. Yeah, in my head Gaila knew, but it wasn't her place to say anything. Thanks for the comment!

“Well, yeah,” says Jim flopping sideways to look up at Spock. “But you don’t count, you’re part of me.”

BAWWWWWW *melts*

Such a cute fucking story! :D Well done!
