This is a poem I wrote about Winston and his thoughts

What do I do when I have no say?

No say in what I do each and every day

How do I know if what I know is true?

When they control absolutely everything I do!

I’m not allowed to have any thought, especially that of my own

I have no-one to talk to I always feel so alone

Hi Zoe.
I love how you have managed to capture to tone and meaning of Orwell's poem in your own. You really created a sense of controlled and oppression not just by what you wrote but how you wrote it. The controlled that you showed with the rhyming couplets really emphasised the continuity but oppression that Wilson felt.
I have just one suggestion (if that is ok) maybe repeat your line "What do I do when I have no say" at the end of your poem just to reinforce your idea.

What a great way to get inside the experience of a literary character... And this poem really comes to life for me.. Well done Zoe...
