I worked at a theater when it came out. We ran a tight schedule, and so the usual shtick was to open the doors as the credits begin, and by halfway through the credits the people have gone and the staff could clean. Only that didn't work with Saving Ryan's Privates, as everyone stayed seated, either crying, or attempting to collect themselves for public viewing. So don't worry, you aren't getting soft. EVERYONE cries at that movie. I've seen 'em. :D
That was my peeps in that movie. Worked in France and back east with Steven Spielberg for almost two years. While I consulted from afar, I later had a more hands-on role with it's reprise, Band of Brothers on HBO. Check that out when you recover. Sad that our veterans in Iraq will never get the same honor.
