I ask you...

Okay, so a 9-year old has passed A-level maths with an A. This is great. But I ask you: what 9-year old's ambition is "to work in the City as an actuary specialising in pensions and insurance."???
What's wrong with being an astronaut? Or a vet? Or a footballer?
We live in a boring world, people.

Well, the astronautical industry emits tons (literally) of carbon dioxide and as such is hardly a sustainable or eco-friendly profession. Footballers, at least the good ones, get stupidly large amounts of money and become god-awful role-models for men everywhere, and tie-in to similar role-model stereotypes for women.

Being a vet is pretty cool though.

But, damnit, in these never-before-seen economic time, people need good actuaries specialising in pensions and insurance!
