I just had a completely unsolicited email from VDM publishing, a German publishing house, offering to publish my MA thesis on machines in antiquity, which is in the vein of their current publications, apparently.

They pay me royalties, so their website says, though I doubt it would come to much!

Yeah, it's a bit weird. Assuming they're legit, I'm going to ask them where they heard about my thesis from, because it's not exactly widely circulated. About as far as the ASS library, in fact... :)
