The color corrected version looks much more professional and life like. Good job!

Definitely an improvement. Did you go too far? I don't think so. Certainly not for a general audience. As someone who knew Rebecca Roberts years ago, though, I don't remember her hair having that kick of red. (I fully realize that I could be wrong on that, though.) If her hair really is that color, great! But if it's not, then I think you went just a teensy bit too far ( ... )

That's awesome: the first thing I did was boost the saturation by 20%! After that I fiddled with the contrast, gamma, brightness, levels, etc., and then I went for the color corrector wheels. It was my first time seriously taking those for a spin.

Judging from "reference photos" of her (read: Facebook), I may not have gone too far in the brown/red direction. I might not even change it if it's not right. I'm just glad I got rid of the blue skin. A significant portion of the wall opposite Rebecca was blue and green glass ;-)

On the software front I went with Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. Adobe isn't going to get serious about pixel aspect ratios until CS4 (post 38 is the important one. It's by a dude who works at Adobe), which makes me sad, but mostly because I could get a full legal version of Vegas for $400 + off. Okay, it's not quite full - it doesn't come with DVD Architect or the multi-channel AC3 encoder, but I can live happily with stereo sound and making DVDs with FOSS.
