Back in Seattle.

It was an interesting year. Not as good as last year. There were too many good & unique things that happened last year (meeting saucygirl, my housemate Bluesy coming, my little brother coming, Rangering for the first time) that couldn't be expected to happen again. So it was a good year, but not earth shattering. I missed saucygirl quite a bit;

I'd have problems watching everyone pack up and leave, too. I think if I were one of the crew to stay on another few weeks, I'd feel differently about it, though. Hard to say.

How's the thumb? Does someone else need to look at it now?

It's true; you're conveying the classic archetypal first-burn experience. Almost no one goes there believing it's as cool as it actually is; no one likes coming home and settling into the produce/consume/conform culture again. Great journaling.

Had the thumb looked at by the MD on thursday. Got the referral; the specialist should be calling me this week. Also, my work health insurance is good until the end of September, which means if I need surgery I'll be covered. Woo!
