Just to clarify, I'm aware of many options; I was looking for particular opinions on each. For me, the path of least resistance is probably the iPhoto order prints button, but I haven't tried it yet.

One thing to consider is the paper/ink process and how long you are wanting to keep these prints.

Different papers will maintain the color saturation of the inks for longer periods of time. Actually, some are better than the old film development processes from back in the '70's. Those tend to look rather faded now after 30+ years.

I don't know if there are ratings on papers that you can get when you have prints made, but see if they tell you how long it will be before the image starts to fade. HP has done comparisons of their various products as they've worked on extending the life of the image quality, but I'm not sure if this information is available publicly.
