Oy gevalt, I don't wear black except for funerals. Black is very Manhattan too, but it depresses me so much to wear it myself. Earth and jewel tones, all the way. At least for me.
Your attitude during that talk, yeah. It was pretty disrespectful. I really didn't expect that from you. Maybe you didn't mean it to come across that way.
Faith is something that doesn't necessarily make a lot of sense outside of a belief system, I guess, but it is what it is.
Your outfit is gorgeous, btw. Absolutely suits you, too. Gorgeous and earthy like you are.
No, I didn't mean it to come across that way. I was mostly teasing Jean-Paul, and at the same time trying to give him some things to think about-- because I believe that only by questioning our faith, whatever that faith is, do we come to any true strength in it.
That said, I will admit I probably have some resentment for the Christian faith in general, on the grounds of it being in the Christian church's name that people of Jewish, Islamic, and various other faiths have been systematically disenfranchised, forcibly converted, or killed for the last rough two thousand years.
But I try not to let that overly color how I talk with people about my faith or theirs.
Thank you, Kara-- you've got a pretty damn good sense of fashion, so your judgment there means something.

It's nice, yeah? Of course mine's not real gold-plated like the one in the picture, but it looks the part and that's what counts.
