I love Zippy so much. I always get such a thrill when I see a post of hers on House's f-list. I just love how you write her, and how you've brought her to life, and how natural she comes across. Like a real person. That's a real hallmark of a good writer and a strong imagination. :-)

I mentioned the pigtails, I mentioned the argumentativeness, I mentioned the conflicted attitude toward boys. All true. I might have glossed over the cockiness, but I think that's implied by 'argumentative' to a degree.
