Was spending money included in the total cost of the trip that you had to save up for? Or did you have to save a separate amount of money for food, souveniers, etc.?

Money is money, there's no separate anything. I just try to spend as little as possible on all things. Its amazing how the little things add up on a trip like this. And not the good amazing either.
